Description: Triple Threat (FR) B , H, foaled April 3, 2010 (Monsun (GER) - Drei, by Lyphard) makes his North American debut a winning one in the 9 furlong $200K Grade II Monmouth Stakes over the 'firm' turf course at Monmouth Park June 7, 2015. Jockey Jose Lezcano settled Triple Threat into stride about 7 lengths off the pace set by Inchcape. Inchcape was shadowed much of the way by Cage Fighter as they travel down the stretch for the first time, around the Club house turn and up the back stretch. Triple Threat was able to save ground along the fence, came out for the stretch drive and caught Middleburg in deep stretch to prevail by a nose. Inchcape was a 1 1/2 further back for the show. Triple Threat was a Group II winner in France and his last race before coming to the US was last September at Longchamp Racecourse. He is 4-2-2 from 14 lifetime starts and he has earned $370,648.
