Description: Tara's Tango (KY) GR/RO, F, foaled March 26, 2012 (Unbridled's Song - Scarlet Tango, by French Deputy) gets back to back stakes victories with a win in the 9 furlong $500K Grade I Santa Margarita Stakes at Santa Anita Park March 19, 2016. Jockey Rafael Bejarano and Tara's Tango trailed the field early while staying in contact with the pace set by Penwith. Taris was tracking that one as they raced up the back stretch and moved up to engage Penwith as they rounded the far turn. Living The Life was saving ground along the rail. Penwith gave way as they raced down the stretch, Living The Life was charging at Taris in mid stretch as she came off the rail and tried to rally from between horses. Tara's Tango was surging on the outside. Tara's Tango got to the front in deep stretch to win by a length over Taris. Living The Life was 1 1/4 lengths further back for the show.
