Jockey Victor Espinoza sent Take Charge Brandi immediately to the front and led the entire trip. She dug in gamely in deep stretch to hold off Feathered by 1/2 length. Maybellene was a big factor as well, she tracked Take Charge Brandi throughout, looked as though she was going to well beaten when Majestic Presence got by her down the stretch, but got clear and made one last surge to finish 3rd, beaten just 1/2 length and a neck for all the money.
