California Chrome was ridden by jockey Victor Espinoza and he was trained by Art Sherman. The 146 running of the Belmont Stakes was won by Robert S. Evans Tonalist (KY) B , C, foaled February 11, 2011 (Tapit - Settling Mist, by Pleasant Colony) at Belmont Park on June 7.
