Description: Songbird (KY) DK B/, F, foaled April 30, 2013 (Medaglia d'Oro - Ivanavinalot, by West Acre) stayed undefeated with a runaway victory in the 7 furlong $300K Grade I Del Mar Debutante at the seaside course September 5, 2015. Jockey Mike Smith sent Songbird immediately to the front from her outside post out of the chute and up the back stretch. Pretty N Cool ran up along the rail to take the lead at the 1/2 mile pole. Songbird took out after the new leader, got on even terms as they rounded the far turn then simply drew off as much the best down the stretch to win by 5 1/4 lengths. Pretty N Cool held the place, 3/4 lengths in front of Land Over Sea in 3rd. Songbird broke her maiden in a MSW at Del Mar July 26 in similar fashion.
