Description: Samraat (NY) DK B/, C, foaled April 16, 2011 (Noble Causeway - Little Indian Girl, by Indian Charlie) kept his undefeated streak alive with a game win in the 1 1/16 miles Grade III $250K Withers Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack February 1, 2014. Uncle Sigh was away in good order and took command but was pressured by Samraat the entire trip. Jockey Jose Ortiz asked Samraat nearing the 1/4 pole then engaged Uncle Sigh for the lead. Samraat gained the lead inside the 1/8 pole and went on to win his 4th in a row by a length. Uncle Sigh was well clear of Scotland in 3rd, 10 1/4 lengths further back. Samraat earned 10 points towards his Kentucky Derby berth as the Withers is one of the races in the Derby Championship Series Prep Season.
