Description: Private Zone (ON) B , G, foaled April 12, 2009 (Macho Uno - Auburn Beauty, by Siphon (BRZ)) successfully defended his crown with a victory in the 6 furlong $400K G1 Vosburgh Stakes on the main track at Belmont Park September 27th, 2014. Regular rider Martin Pedroza sat off the pace set by Happy My, engaged that one rounding the far turn and started to pull away as they entered the stretch. Dads Caps closed strongly turning for home and battled with Private Zone to the wire. Private Zone wins the Vosburgh for the second year in a row by a neck. It was 1 1/2 lengths further back to Palace in 3rd. Private Zone is 6-7-1 from his 23 starts and he has earned $921,820 for his owners at Good Friends Stables. He was bred by Adena Springs and he is being trained by Alfredo Velazquez. The Vosburgh is a Breeders' Cup World Championships 'Win & You're In' Challenge Series race and Private Zone gets his entry fees paid towards a start in the BC Sprint this fall at Santa Anita Park.
