Description: Photo Call (IRE) B , F, foaled February 11, 2011 (Galileo (IRE) - Theann (GB), by Rock of Gibraltar (IRE)) charges up between horse in deep stretch to win the 10 furlong $300K Grade I Rodeo Drive Stakes over the firm turf course at Santa Anita Park on September 26, 2015. Jockey Drayden Van Dyke settled Photo Call along the rail in the fourth spot as Fanticola went out to show the way. Stormy Lucy tracked Fanticola in 2nd as they raced up the back stretch, Photo Call stayed on the rail in 4th and Elektrum was advancing behind along the inside. Stormy Lucy and Fanticola battled for the lead as they hit the top of the stretch, Photo Call was in full flight as she came off the rail to go between the leaders. Elektrum followed Photo Call between horses and was surging, however, Photo Call go the jump on her and went on to win by 2 1/4 lengths. Elektrum edged out Story Lucy for the place by a head. Photo Call was coming off her first stakes win, the 9 furlong Grade III Violet Stakes at Monmouth Park August 29th. She is 4-2-4 from 13 starts and she has earned $339,562. She was bred by Mrs Evie Stockwell, owned by Mrs P.K. Cooper, and she is being trained by Graham Motion. The Rodeo Drive is a Breeders' Cup World Championships Challenge Series race and Photo Call gets her entry fees paid into the BC Filly & Mare Turf October 31st at Keeneland.
