Description: Orb (KY) B , C, foaled February 24, 2010 (Malibu Moon - Lady Liberty, by Unbridled) gets 3 in a row and 50 points towards his Kentucky Derby berth win a win in the 1 1/16 miles $400K Grade II Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park February 23 2013. Violence made a bold move to pass pacesetter Majestic Hussar entering the stretch, he seemed to be loafing as Orb made his run at him. Once Orb drew even, Violence found his running legs and gave Orb a battle to the wire. Orb prevailed by 1/2 length, Violence did get 2nd, 6 3/4 lengths clear of Speak Logistics in 3rd. Violence sustained a fractured sesamoid in his right front ankle in the race and was taken off the Derby trail. He has been sent to owner Steven Marshall's Black Rock Stable's Farm in Versailles, Kentucky for further evaluation and recuperation. Orb has now won 3 of 6 starts and has earned $321,050 for his owners/breeders Janney, III, Stuart S. and Phipps Stable.
