Description: Mizdirection (KY) GR/RO, F, foaled April 19, 2008 ( Mizzen Mast - Deceptive, by Clever Trick) came flying late to win the Grade I $1 million Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint at the about distance of 6 1/2 furlongs on Santa Anita's downhill turf course, November 3 2012. Champion and Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith had her settled well of the pace and keep her outside, she then came running late to get the win by a 1/2 length over Unbridled's Note. It was another 1 1/4 length back to Reneesgotzip in third. Mike Smith garnered his 17th Breeders' Cup victory, moving him further ahead of former BC winningest jockey Jerry Bailey. Mizdirection is having a banner 4 year old year which prompted her connections to enter her to run against her male counterparts. She has now won 4 of 5 this year. Her lifetime record is 7 wins from 12 races with 4 seconds and 1 third with earnings of just over $900K. Mizdirection was bred by Joseph J.
