Description: Midnight Storm (KY) DK B/, C, foaled May 9, 2011 (Pioneerof the Nile - My Tina, by Bertrando) get his first stake victory of the year in the 8.5 furlong $250K Grade II Seabiscuit Handicap on the 'firm' turf course at Del Mar November 27, 2015. Jockey Victor Espinoza settled Midnight Storm into a stalking position chasing Macro Access around the first turn and up the back stretch. Bal A Bali was in fourth along the rail and Toowindytohaulrox followed. Midnight Storm turned up the heat as they rounded the far turn and grabbed the lead as they reached the the top of the lane. Bal A Bali swung to the outside and Toowindytohaulrox stayed inside. Both chased Midnight Storm, however, Midnight Storm sprinted clear to win by 1 1/4 lengths. Bal A Bali got the place and Toowindytohaulrox finished 3/4 lengths back for the show. Midnight Storm is 5-3-0 from 13 starts and he has earned $562,110.
