Description: Main Sequence (KY) CH , G, foaled February 13, 2009 (Aldebaran - Ikat (IRE), by Pivotal (GB)) returns from his win in the Grade I Breeders' Cup Turf November 1, 2014 with a convincing score in the 11 furlong $200K Grade II Mac Diarmida Stakes on the 'firm' turf at Gulfstream Park February 21, 2015. Reunited with regular rider, Rajiv Maragh, he swallowed up Twilight Eclipse inside the 16th marker to win by 3/4 lengths. Twilight Eclipse tracked the slow pace set by Change Of Command and took the lead turning for home. Main Sequence tracked the pace from the rail until the 3/4's pole, angled to the outside around the far turn and once he was set down for the drive there was no doubt he would get up in time. Change Of Command held on well for the show 1 1/4 lengths behind Twilight Eclipse. Main Sequence is undefeated in North America with 5 wins, 4 of those Grade I events run last year. His outstanding performance since coming over from Great Britain last spring has earned him Older Male and Older Turf Male in the 2014 Eclipse Awards.
