Description: Infinite Magic (KY) B , C, foaled March 1, 2010 (More Than Ready - Truly Enchanting (IRE), by Danehill Dancer (IRE)) was expertly ridden by jockey Channing Hill to get his first Graded victory with a win in the 1 3/16 miles $200K Grade III American Derby on the turf at Arlington Park July 13 2013. Hill placed Infinite Magic down along the inside for most of the trip, tracking pacesetter Mongolian Saturday. As they spun out of the turn Infinite Magic was guided off the rail to get around a tiring Mongolian Saturday just as Dorsett gained the lead from the outside. Infinite Magic got through, Dorsett began to give way but Stormy Len and Admiral Kitten came flying late. Infinite Magic had enough to stave off Admiral Kitten by a head at the line, it was a nose back to Stormy Len in 3rd. Infinite Magic came over from Great Britain earlier this year and won an Allowance event on the turf at Keeneland April 14th. He ran poorly in the slop in the Grade II Peter Pan May 11th. He then came back in the Grade III Hill Prince and was roughed up at the start to finish 6th. Infinite Magic's racing record is now 4-2-0 from 9 starts and has earnings of $167,502.
