Jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. sent Holy Boss out after Victory Is Sweet as they raced up the back stretch. Holy Boss came at Victory Is Sweet as the spun out of the far turn, Requite came to the leaders with a dream trip along the rail. However, it was Holy Boss to come away with the lead and ran on for the wire to win by 2 1/4 lengths over Requite. It was another 3 3/4 lengths further back to Barbados in 3rd.
