Description: Hogy (KY) DK B/, G, foaled March 22, 2009 (Offlee Wild - Floy, by Petionville) sat off the pacesetters then blew by them approaching the 1/4 pole to win the 1 mile $150K Grade III Hanshin Cup at Arlington Park May 25 2013. Jockey Christopher Emigh rode him beautifully letting the front runners hammer it out, then seemed to be just along for the ride as Hogy reeled them in and went on to win by 1 1/2 lengths. He had plenty to stave off a fast closing Mr Marti Gras. It was another 5 3/4 lengths back to Hammers Terror in 3rd. Hogy has been a solid performer and when he popped up in an $80K AOC November 1 2012, new owner William Stiritz stepped in with the claim. Hogy has two wins and a second place finish since then.
