Jockey Joel Rosario sent Force The Pass up to stalk the pace set by Bolo and Granny's Kitten. Force The Pass had a dream trip along the hedge going into the Clubhouse turn and up the back stretch and when Bolo left an opening going into the far turn, Force The Pass scooted on through along the inside to take command. The Belmont Derby Invitational was Force The Pass' to win at that point as he scampered away down the stretch to win by 3 3/4 lengths. Canndal followed Force The Pass along the inside and was not able to make an impact, however, held off Startup Nation by a 1/2 length for the place.
