Description: Beholder (KY) B , F, foaled May 9, 2010 (Henny Hughes - Leslie's Lady, by Tricky Creek) left no doubt she is one of the best 3 year old fillies racing today as she ran off with the 1 1/8 miles $2 million Grade I Breeders' Cup Distaff at Santa Anita Park November 1, 2013. The Kid, jockey Gary Stevens had Beholder sitting in third behind pacesetters Authenticity and Royal Delta. Beholder was turned loose turning for home and quickly opened up a commanding lead. She went on to win by 4 1/4 lengths over Close Hatches. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back to Authenticity in 3rd. Beholder won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Filly in 2012 and also was awarded the Eclipse Award for Outstanding 2 year old Filly. She has an excellent race record at 8-3-0 from 12 starts. Five of her wins came in Grade I company. Beholder has earned $3,075,000 for her owners at Spendthrift Farm.
