Description: American Pharoah (KY) B , C, foaled February 2, 2012 (Pioneerof the Nile - Littleprincessemma, by Yankee Gentleman) ran his win streak to four with a commanding performance in the 9 furlong $1 million Grade I Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park April 11, 2015. Regular pilot Victor Espinoza sent American Pharoah out to track the pace by Bridget's Big Luvy down the stretch for the first time, around the Club house turn and up the back stretch. As Bridget's Big Luvy was rounding the far turn American Pharoah ran on past that one and at the top of the lane American Pharoah seemingly galloped away from the field to win by 8 lengths. Far Right closed well to get second 3/4 lengths in front of Mr. Z. American Pharoah is now 4-0-0 from 5 starts and he has earned $1,411,500 for his owner/breeder Zayat Stables. American Pharoah earned 100 Kentucky Derby points for his victory and now has a total of 160, more than enough to secure a start in the Derby May 2nd at Churchill Downs.
